Sažetak
Reaffirmation of Christian Symbolism within the City of Zagreb provides an insight into the changes in the urban iconography of the capital Zagreb that occurred due to the establishment of the independent republic of Croatia in 1991 after the breakup of Yugoslavia. National independence was marked with the return to traditional social values, especially to the Catholic Church, which implied a new symbolic system, including new churches and monuments that strongly marked the urban iconography of Zagreb.
