Sažetak
Nterlibrary Loan Management System called SEND 2.0 (http://send.irb.hr/) is released in 2014 as web application developed for the purpose of facilitating resource sharing and interlibary loan among Croatian academic libraries. It is designed and developed at Ruđer Bošković Institute Library (RBI). The application is based on open source technologies such as PHP programming language and MySQL database and installed on Linux server. The initial version of SEND was launched at the end of 2002 and it was aimed for Rudjer Boskovic Institute only by allowing authorized users (RBI staff) to request documents from Croatian libraries or abroad and for authorized Croatian libraries to request documents owned by the RBI Library. The new version is upgraded version of previous SEND and it is at disposal to other Croatian as well as international libraries in the form of SaaS (Software as a Service). Authentication and authorization is possible through unique user identifier for academic community AAI@EduHr, and there is also possibility for separate registration for other libraries. It allows communication between the participating libraries and also between users and home library. The application advanced ILL process, smooth the way for easy tracking of ILL requests and improved its efficiency. Statistics module enables simple gathering and analyzing of data.
