Sažetak
Paper reads local, communal or regional and stately, general identities on some examples of public architecture in 16th century Zadar ; the Porta Terraferma by Michele Sanmichelli and The Monument to the Battle of Lepanto. A close reading of iconographical, structural and formal elements of architecture or art piece, and subsequent cultural contextualization brings us to a much deeper level of understanding their contemporary contexts.
