Sažetak
In this study we develop and test a protocol for labeling live feed items using fluorescent microspheres. Such labeled zooplankton can then be quantified when ingested by larval fish in order to determine food intake and/or prey selectivity (when labeling different prey with different colored microspheres). A comparison between methods of sample analysis is also made: fluorometry, cytometry and fluorescent microscopy.
