Sažetak
Due to economic crises, globalisation, digitalisation, platformisation and development of sharing economy, there is a rising share of new job opportunities in the form of non-standard work arrangements (e.g. fixed-term contract, temporary agency work, dispatched work, work on demand, crowdsourcing) and new forms of self-employment (e.g. independent subcontractors with no employees or with few customers). Hence, the Report provides data, legal analyses and assessment of the social protection level for these groups of persons in the Croatian economy. Report provides series of recommendations aimed at the shift from work-based to income-based social security with a view to improve social protection and reduce participation in the shadow economy.
