Sažetak
Aim: The Objective of this paper is to try to see which degree of satisfaction or dissatisfaction are encountered during the subjective evaluation of life in veterans and whether this assessment is different for employed and unemployed veterans. Work methods: In the survey of quality of life in Croatian war veterans participated 188 people, 118 men and 70 women. Respondents are defined as veterans who participated in the war and who were diagnosed with PTSD. Results: Those veterans that we know there marital status quite a number are single (40%), most of them are married (44%), while the others were divorced (16%). With regard to education, a smaller number of them had only primary education (11%), while most of them have a high school education (57%). With a higher education were 22% and with university degrees 9%. The majority of respondents Veterans had no disability (81%). Those who reported the existence of a disability (19% of them) have established of 15% to 90% of disability.With nine components of quality of life was found a statistically significant association (p <0.05). Conclusion: With regard to the employment status of veterans of quality of life was significantly higher in active veterans. compared to inactive veterans. veterans of different ages differently evaluate the quality of life. It is interesting that veterans aged 50 to 64 years significantly better evaluate the quality of their life compared to veterans of 65 or more years of life.
