Sažetak
This presentation will begin with a reminder of the IBCLC’s commitment to promoting evidence based medicine (EBM). It will then look at the different types of available evidence, analyse why systematic reviews of randomised controlled trials are at the pinnacle of the evidence hierarchy and where they can be found. This will then lead on to a brief reminder of some key statistical concepts, useful for interpreting evidence. The audience will then be informed of the various tools available to the public and health professionals for applying evidence in everyday situations.
