Sažetak
The heart volume quotient was determined in 319 young promising athletes from different sports. This quotient provides useful information on the relationship between the size of the heart and functional capacity. The mean value of the quotient in the group of athletes was 42.8 +/- 7.25. The upper permissible limit is considered to be the mean value increased by two standard deviations, amounting to 57.3 in the case of young athletes
