Sažetak
Biological materials are proven to be superior in comparison to synthetic materials for the dural reconstruction in the region of anterior cranial base 1. Fascia lata is the commonest reported material for dural reconstruction. We have been routinely using temporal muscle fascia for that purpose for four years.For that reasons we have analysed biomechanical characteristic of elasticity of three tissues: temporal muscle fascia, fascia lata and dura mater.The elasticity of temporal muscle fascia and fascia lata were compared with the elasticity of dura mater in order to analyse which material better resembles to dura in terms of its biomechanical characteristics.
