Sažetak
It is nowdays quite evident that the process of successful transformation and reconstruction as well as further development of Croatian tourism is not possible without additional new capital. As there is no such capital and neither it will be available from domestic sources in near future, at leat not in the required amounts, it is necessary to let in the capital from foreign sources. In doing so it is desirable that a good deal of Croatian assets in the sphere of tourist economic activities should remain in the ownership of Croatian citizens, particularly the land. One has to bear in mind that foreign capital sometimes tends to realise as big a profit as possible regardless of the consequences for natural and other resources. Therefore the interest for long-term tourist development should be inculculated in the foreign capital owners so that it does not collide with the interest of domestic capital owners. So the import of foreign capital i snot in question, but the global ratio between foreign and domestic sources, the proportional distribution of the so-called social costs and taxes, the up-to-date technical and technological components, marketing know-how and the like in further conquest of the world tourist market.
