Bogdan Bogdanovićs theory of urban destruction
Sažetak
This paper focusses on the systematic destruction of urban areas during the war in Yugoslavia from 1991 to 1995, especially the destruction of the city of Sarajevo during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina 1992-1995. The presentation examines a theory expressed by Bogdan Bogdanović. His theory is that the wars in Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina were wars in which cities and towns were attacked by the countryside, the rural order. Here, Sarajevo is the most important metaphor of the 20th century.
