Sažetak
The term ‘exploitation’ is often utilized as if its meaning and moral force were self-evident. That is not the case. One view is that exploitation is morally neutral. It can be contaminated by certain wrongs (coercion, discrimination, dehumanization, etc.) which in turn make exploitation itself look bad. This would be a non-moralized account of exploitation. A moralized account of exploitation, on the contrary, claims that exploitation is wrong in its own. Theories of ‘moralized exploitation’ could be roughly systematized as broad fairness- based account of exploitation ; broad Kantian account of exploitation as degradation ; and vulnerability based account of exploitation. In this paper we shall critically evaluate contributions of these theories, especially the proposed connection between vulnerability and exploitation.
