Sažetak
Sevebty species of horse flies (Diptera:Tabanidae) classifield in 10 genera have been recorded from the still only poorly investigatet western and central parts of Balkans, covering a large teritory of the formwer yugoslavia, from Bosnia and Herzegovina through Serbia, Montenegro, Vojvodina and Kosovo south-east to Macedonia.Thirty-four species are recorded for the first time from that region.The largest number, 47 species, have been recorded from Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is still insufficient compared with 76 species known, for instance, from Croatia. Altogether 42 species have been found in Montenigro, 27 of which are new for that region, but still 6 species are recorded from Kosovo
