Sažetak
Plinacro is a company responsible for development, construction, supervision and managing of the existing & new gas transmission systems. At the beginning of 2008 Plinacro was faced with a great challenge of constructing pipelines and other facilities within Lika, Dalmatia, central and eastern Croatia and Istria as part of the gasification process. From this moment many projects are carried out simultaneously and they are managed by 15 employees of the Investment Division, seven of which are project managers. The decision was made to implement a project management system based on Primavera software with integration to the financial data from the existing business information system (ORACLE EBS). The paper shows the scope of implemented solution and how the system facilitates working with portfolio of projects by a small number of project managers and team members, who have specific responsibilities in the projects. A critical success factor is quality planning with time and financial integration, which provides good information for right decisions on the project level. This information is then summarized (from all projects) in order to gather information needed for the Board to manage the strategic level decisions. A system for monitoring and regular updates of time and financial indicators has also been established, enabling the monitoring of actual project & portfolio performance data in real time. The system enables simultaneous real-time usage by all users on many projects. This is necessary since the projects are very dependent, as well as the procurement, which can be cross- project, which then requires special links and procedures, as well as process integration within the organization itself.
