Sažetak
For the integration of the international corridor RH2 into European railway infrastructure network and the anticipated traffic flows it is necessary to identify bottlenecks in the technical and technological sense. As Rijeka traffic direction is a part of the Mediterranean traffic corridor, certain railway sections have already reached their maximum capacity, underlining the need for establishing new technological options for maximizing the use of the existing capacity. After identifying the bottlenecks using the existing technological process, potential improvements will be studied, primarily with the aim to increase the capacity by optimizing technological processes together with smaller infrastructural procedures (e.g. increasing speed at a station). The research will be conducted on the case study of railway section Generalski Stol - Gornje Dubrave. The simulation of the solution proposal will be provided by the Opentrack software package tools.
