Sažetak
The reactions of N-alkylated glycinamide and iminodiacetamide derivatives (N'-methylsarcosinamide ; SarMeam, N-ethylglycinamide ; EtGlyam, N-ethyliminodiacetamide ; Etimda and N-isopropyliminodiacetamide ; i-Primda) with sodium tetrachloropalladate(II) in aqueous solutions were investigated. Five new complexes, [Pd(SarMeamH)2] ∙ 4H2O (1), [Pd(EtGlyamH)2] ∙ 5H2O (2), [Pd(EtimdaH)2] ∙ 2H2O (3), [Pd(i-PrimdaH)2] ∙ 2H2O (4) and [PdCl2(i-Primda)] (5) were prepared and characterized by X-ray structural anaysis. The square planar coordination environments around the palladium(II) ions in complexes 1-4 consist of two N, N'-bidentate glycinamidato or iminodiacetamidato ligands, resulting in the formation of trans-isomers. In complex 5, Pd(II) ion has also square planar coordination environment, with two chloride ions and one neutral N-isopropyliminodiacetamide ligand bound in N, O-bidentate fashion. Although iminodiacetamide ligands usually act as tridentate chelators (Sekizaki, 1976 ; Smrečki et al., 2015), in the case of palladium(II) complexes the second amide group remains out of the primary coordination sphere. The crystal packings of the complexes 1-4 are characterized by numerous hydrogen bonds of the N−H∙∙∙O and O−H∙∙∙O type. The molecules of 5 are assembled into dimers via N−H∙∙∙O hydrogen bonds. These dimers are mutually connected by the weak N−H∙∙∙Cl hydrogen bonds.
