Sažetak
Exactly 35 years ago Journal of the Philosophy of Sport introduced the problem of doping in the W.M. Brown's article Ethics, Drugs and Sport (vol.7, issue 1, 1980). Since then, PED (Performance Enhancing Drug) or doping has become one of the most dominant topics in the field of Ethics in Sport, especially in terms of athletes’ health. On the one hand, author has presented figures in his research: the number of articles and reviews (38), special issues (2-1984, 2009) and authors (45). On the other hand, the author has shown the main directions of the development of the views on and attitudes towards doping, as well as an on- going debate between supporters of traditional ethical arguments for banning of doping in sports and the ones that criticize that position in detail, in order to support the claim that the ban is not justified and should therefore be lifted for professional athletes. In this regard, author has considered the Argument of Harming Self and Others, the Argument of Unfair Advantage and the Argument from Increased Health Care Costs to Others.
