Sažetak
During mechanical energy transfer through the transmission and simultaneous conversion its parameters inside the transmission, some mechanical energy losses are appeared. A part of mechanical energy is transformed into the heat energy. In order to characterize quality of energy parameters transformation, the term of efficiency is introduced. Function of efficiency includes a few of important factors that have influence to the energy transformation efficiency in the transmission. Paper deals with the power losses and efficiency of the planetary gear trains. The subject of the paper is basic type of planetary gear transmissions.
