Sažetak
Authors present their experience with Aquacel Ag dressing in the treatment of deep burns in children. Namely, during the 2004–2014 period, more than 600 patients with burns were treated using Aquacel Ag dressing throughout the treatment. Informed consent was obtained from each patient prior to their treatment. Thermal burns analyzed were caused by hot liquids (water, coffee, soup, milk) or contact with hot objects (oven, hotplate) as the most common causes of burns in children. Second b/third- degree burns were present in 413 (66.8%) of 618 children treated with Aquacel Ag dressing, and 302 (73.1%) of them were aged <4 years.
