Sažetak
Global transformation of educational via ICT has resulted in development of several types of distance education including mobile learning or m- learning. Review of the current literature and results of research in this topic suggest that m- learning is currently type of learning which draws most public attention aiming to improve learning experience in general and to offer more democratic access to human knowledge. The m-learning concept consists of at least three important elements: learners (at the heart of the concept), mobile devices (means for transfer of knowledge) and learning materials. The m-learning is still not universally recognized despite its growing popularity mostly because of inability of learners to own a mobile device and lack of learning materials prepared for use on mobile devices (small screens) or inaccessibility of the learning materials in digital format. The purpose of this paper is to present and emphasize advantages of m- learning by explaining each of the essential three elements and the role of open educational resources in the development of mlearning.
