Sažetak
In proposed project composite implant materials for solid tissue will be developed. Load-bearing structure will be stabilized high strength ZrO2 porous ceramics, while bioactive coating will be calcium phosphates prepared by biomimetic process. In this experiment the ZrO2 ceramics will be stabilized by itria and alumina and prepared either by sol-gel syntheses or by mechanochemical processing and subsequent sintering of prepared powder. The advantages of porous ceramic as a material for making the basic structure of the implant is less specific weight, and increased surface roughness, which makes it suitable for different surface modifications, including the application of calcium phosphate. In addition, 3D porous structure mimics the structure of the bone tissue, which facilitates and promotes the adhesion and proliferation of surrounding cells.
