Sažetak
Smart Transmission Grid or Intelligent Transmission Grid is the future of power transmission. It is a version of PTG capable of satisfying new protection and operation trends of the free and deregularised electricity market. The Intelligent Transmission Grid is a set of technological interdisciplinary solutions, i.e. an infrastructure capable of handling increased transmission and distribution of electricity. The concept also comprises the implementation of technologies enabling qualitative monitoring, protection and operation. Decisions and investments concerning PTG to be made in the next few years will determine development of energy for centuries to follow.
