Sažetak
This contribution deals with the effect of a tube ends flattening on the value of critical buckling force. This shape of a rod has been chosen due to the simple connection on the joint gusset plates. The contribution contains information about the experiment, where the values of critical buckling force at the tubes with flattened ends were being looked for. These values were also computed by Rayleigh energy method. The paper provides a data about some differences between computed and experimental values of critical buckling force at the tubes with flattened ends as well as the effect of this flattening. Due to more accuracy at the construction design, it offers to change the buckling coefficient on the basis of performed measurements.
