Sažetak
S U M M A R Y In the course of 1978 a sample of 323 male and 265 female subjects at the age of 65 to 84 years were examlned. The subjects were selected at random from six various regions of Croatia. They ali were examined electrocardiographicallv in rest position. The electrocardiogram was read according to the Minnesota code. The Q-wave occurring after myocardial infarction was found m 3.7% of the subjects examined. It was significantlv commoner in males than in females. The depression of the S-T segment of 1 mm or more was found in 4, 9%, of 0.5 to 0.9 mm in 7.5%, and of up to 0.5 in 6.1% of the subjects examined. Frequent extrasystoles were found in 4.1% and atrial fibrillation in 5.8%. The microvoltage of the QRS complex was observed in 7.1% of the subjects examined. One man and one woman had a pacemaker, which makes a total of 0.2% of the population. Two tables show the results of frequencies and percentages of ECG changes for 30 variables.
