Sažetak
A series of N-Arylmaleimides (N-aryl-MI) and N-aryl-2, 3-dimethylmaleimides (N-aryl-DiMeMI) are prepared by condensation of prymary amines with maleic anhydride (MAn) or 2, 3-dimethylmaleic anhydride (2, 3-DIMEMAn), respectively. The preparation of N-aryl-MI proceeds through the formation of the N-arylmaleamic acid which subsequently cyclizes to N-aryl-MI. In the reaction of N-arylamine with the 2, 3-DiMeMAn cyclic condenzation products are formed in one step. By means of one- and twodimensional 1-H and 13-C NMR spetroscopy it was proved that N-aryl-2, 3-DiMeMI and not isomaleimides are formed by one step reaction.
