Sažetak
This paper discusses the sociological concepts of habitus, lifestyle, and subcultural style, in order to provide the theoretical basis for the development of style engines of socially intelligent agents. The development of this engine is a continuation of the previous work of the authors on the development of socio-political attitude module of social attitude engines of socially intelligent believable agents. Its aim is to further increase the believability of agents, by means of providing visual attributes to the agents whose believability is defined in terms of consistency of socio-political attitudes they hold. The style engine should be conceived of as an extension of the personality structures of the already developed agents, adding to them the component of social believability. The sociological concepts discussed provide a connection between the elements of the macro level (socio-political attitudes) and the micro level (appearance).
