Sažetak
Considerations based on the general form of equation of material degradation are made in order to compare the effects of specific voltage and thermal degradations and overloads on acceleration of material degradation. Evaluation of ageing is necessary for diagnostics and design of insulating systems. In evaluation of insulating materials and systems there are limits such as temperatures of thermal classes, temperature indices and profiles, which in a defined time give a defined degree of degradation. In practice there are frequent and often necessary deviations from the specified stress, and there are quite different stress times and limits of allowable degradation.
