Sažetak
A case of congenital segmental dilatation of the colon in a 32-year old woman is concisely reported on. This rare condition resembles Hirschsprung's disease in many respects, but in differential diagnosis the essential moment is the histological verification of the presence of parasympathetic ganglia in Auerbach's and Meissner's myentric and submucous plexuses both in the dilated segment and in the adjoining proximal and distal parts of the intestine. The surgery consisted of the resection of the dilated segment, and end-to-end anastomosis of the remaining parts of the intestine, and was followed by recovery.
