Sažetak
AIM: Determination of corrosion behavior of surface layer of uncoated and rhodium coated NiTi wires after immersion to artificial saliva, MI Paste Plus and Elmex. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Uncoated and rhodium coated NiTi wires were submitted to electrochemical testing (open circuit potential, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and cyclic polarization scan). CONCLUSIONS: Uncoated NiTi wires exhibited better corrosion resistance towards both general and localized corrosion, when compared to rhodium coated NiTi wires.
