Sažetak
In the chapter authors examine development of business ethics and corporate social responisibility in Croatia from the historical perspective. Focal points of the historical overview are: Renaissance and authors Benedikt Kotruljevic and Nikola Vitov Gučetić ; period from the end of the WWII to the Croatian Homeland War, describing the key drivers of business ethics and CSR such as the Catholic church and the labour unions ; and the period of independent Republic of Croatia ilustrating the role of higher education institutions and describing the main initiatives for promoting and advancing ethics in business context. The chapter ends with short remarks on the challenges brought up with the application of ethical teaching to business practice.
