Sažetak
The effect of low level laser therapy on salivary glands in patients with xerostomia was studied. The comparison is made with the control group treated with classical citrus acid treatment. It was found that the laser treatment in addition to short-term improvement results also in a cumulative therapeutic effect amounting to permanent slight increase of salivary production, hence has also a regenerative effect on salivary gland's function.
