Sažetak
The simultaneous nitrogen and phosphorus removal at anoxic conditions was monitored. Sodium acetate (NaAc) was used as a source of carbon at a ratio of C/N 1.5, 2.5, and 3.5. Two series of experiments was performed. The initial concentrations of NO3-N, NO2-N and PO4- P were: 30±3 mg NO2-N/L, 17±1mg NO3-N/L, 12.25±0.15 mg PO4-P/L (1st series of experiments), and 82±1 NO2-N mg/L, 53±3mg NO3- N/L, and 28.4±0.2 mg PO4-P/L (2nd series of experiments). Activated sludge from a municipal wastewater treatment plant in concentration of 4.2±0.1 g MLSS/L was used in all experiments.
