Sažetak
Renaissance slavery in Croatia and Dalmatia is a follow-up of slave trade and keeping of slaves in previous centuries. A new feature is the growing impact of Ottoman raids and conquests in the region. On the other hand, since the 13th century slaves were replaced by household servants whose position did not differ very much from that of the slaves. Most slaves and servants were sold to Italy. The problem of slavery is reflected also in Renaissance literature, what will not be the case later in the Baroque.
