Sažetak
All LBW preterm babies admitted to NICU in Clinical Hospita Osijek from 2009 to 2011 were investigated (79 preemies with GA from 25 to 32 weks of gestation. About 36% of them were breastfeeded, another 29% were fed with their mother, s milk. Success of breastfeeding is statistically connected only with the gender of the preemie and with the duration of bottle feeding. When a premature baby begins to breastfeed, it is best not to add milk from the bottle.
