Sažetak
The aim of this dissertation is to look into the debate on time travel and decide whether it is logically possible. Mainly this research is going to illustrate and discuss David Lewis’ ideas by looking at varies problems or paradoxes that can occur if time travel is possible ; will mainly be linked to travel to the past. It will be separated into three chapters, not counting this one, each covering one of the problems that time travel can cause. The first chapter will cover the causal loop problem. This will include Lewis’ ideas that although they cannot be explained does not make them impossible and Mellor’s objections that backward causation cannot be possible because varies problems would occur when trying to do an experiment in order to show reversed causation. His main objection is that a cause must increase the probability of its effects but this cannot happen in backward causation.
