Sažetak
In presentation there are explained characteristics of cognitive behavioral treatment of combat veterans who have diagnosis of PTSD. The treatment consists of assessment of PTSD symptoms, comorbid psychiatric disorders, work on core beliefs, sense of guility and shame, cognitive distortions. We have to choose appropriate treatment intervention, psychotherapy or medication treatment of combination of both methods. It is very important to make a confidentional therapeutic relationship and to make a treatment plan with the patient. The main interventions of CBT are: psychoeducation, cognitive restructuring, emotion regulation, exposure, anger management, posttreatment program for maintaining and prevention relapse.
