Sažetak
On the ceremony of celebrating the 51st anniversary of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Croatia, our medical literature was enriched by this new book that upgrades the knowledge of skin therapy. The skin is permanently exposed to different environmental factors and is a mirror of internal diseases. The understanding of the pathogenetic mechanisms of dermatologic diseases as well as specific therapy of these diseases has considerably improved in the last decades. This book points to the many new concepts in dermatologic therapy. The book has been written by an interdisciplinary team of 54 experts in various specialties from Croatia, Europe, America and Australia, together with members of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Croatia. The editor has done great work by excellently harmonizing all the contributions in all aspects.
