Sažetak
The article is based on findings from my doctoral dissertation which focuses on the life stories of the families with children who have intellectual disabilities. I intended to analyse the quality of life of the families. The article describes the social context in the Republic of Croatia that shapes everyday life experiences of these families based on the narratives of mothers of children with intellectual disabilities. In the articles there are some examples of organized support for people with intellectual disabilities in the Republic of Croatia.
