Sažetak
Fenoprofen (1), a well known analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent was transformed to amide derivatives 4 and 5. Fenoprofen first reacted with 1-benzotriazole carboxylic acid chloride (2) to give benzotriazolide 3 which after aminolysis gave the corresponding amides 4a-i. One of them, 2-aminoethyl amide (4i) reacted with styrene-maleic copolymer (SMA) affording the polymer-drug conjugate 5. In compound 5 fenoprofen is covalently bound by amide linkage, through nontoxic ethylenediamine spacer. The synthesised compounds are potential fenoprofen prodrugs.
