Sažetak
A rational approach to the functionality and structure of intelligent instrumentation system dedicated to industrial process monitoring and fault diagnosis is presented. Functions are represented by interrelated modules that support multiple levels of abstractions. Structural model is described through hierarchy of layered components. Particula attention is paid to model building procedures and to knowledge representation and reasoning techniques.
