Sažetak
The first signş of disease were noticed on November 14th with fever and fatigue. On November 17th in regional hospital blood tests revealed anemia (Hb 82 g/L) and thrombocytopenia (49 x109/L) alongside with elevated urea (12.6 mmol/L), creatinine (93 µmol/L) and LDH (1967 U/L). Urine sample showed proteinuria and erythrocituria. The patient was already oliguric. Presumable diagnosis was hemolytic- uremic syndrome. No diarrhoea was noticed. After the administration of the drug we noticed slow increase of urine output. As serum urea and creatinine, free hemoglobin and LDH level slowly decreased PD was introduced and maintained for four weeks. All hematological and biochemical data continously improved and reached normal limits. No aHUS mutation is so far found. Follow-up: At present state, no relapse of disease is noticed, no sign of hemolysis, serum creatinine level is normal, no haematuria or proteinuria, all biochemical values returned to normal. The child conducts normal life and apprehends average stature for his age.
