The aim of this study was to assess changes of sexual behavior in students at 1st and 6th year from University of Zagreb School of medicine. Students completed anonymous questionnaire "Health survey of school children and youth” at 1st (N = 242, 69% female) and again at 6th year of study (N = 125, 74% female). For the purpose of this paper we analyzed answers about sexual behavior by descriptive statistic methods. Number of sexually active students increases twice from 1st(41% female, 47% male) to 6th year of study (78% female, 94% male). At 1st year of study, 10% female and 22% of male students had 3 or more sexual partners whereas at 6th year of study it had 22% female and 41% male students. At 1st year of study, 3% female and 12% male students did not use contraception during first sexual intercourse whwereas it was at 6th year of study 3% female and 4% male students. Eighteen percent female and 9% male students at 1 st and 6% female and 7% male students at 6th year of study practiced rejected sexual intercours e. Eight percent female and 9% male students at 1 st and 6% female and 7% male students at 6th year of study did not use a condom in one night stand adventures. These results demonstrate the presence of risk sexual behavior in medical students at beginning and at end of study. Results indicate need for continuous education and counseling of students about sexuality, reproduction and contraception in order to prevent serious consequences on reproductive health.
