Sažetak
In-door laboratory biomechanical analysis of rowing movements, simulated on rowing ergometer, has been performed. Surface EMG signals of rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, vastus medialis and erector spinae (the left side) were measured together with a video record. One trained and one untrained rower took part in the study, so as to get insight into respective differences. EMG signal analysis included the calculation of full-wave rectified and low pass filtered (i.e. smoothed or averaged) EMG with subsequent extraction of its maximum values and their times of occurrence. Video record served as a basis for extraction and calculation of basic kinematics of the moving body. The maximum of the average EMG signal and its time of occurrence both increased with fatigue, the phenomenon being more pronounced in untrained performer. The laboratory setup used has proven adequate for procedures of evaluation of the training process of rowers.
