Sažetak
In the East, people have always valued and admired paper, because of its variety of applications. Three-dimensional figures of paper were used, but in the early Chinese and Japanese Buddhist temples as votive sacrifices to the gods. Between the 1600s and 1868th in Japan, folding and cutting paper has become a true art. In the West, in the 13th century, there were books that contained three-dimensional parts made of paper that was cut, bent and glued. Today, in the East and in the West, there are various types of expressive techniques that have emerged from kirigami art. Paper models give the impression of light and air, and thereby give a romantic shadow in space. It was the biggest inspiration for the design of the lamp shades. It is very interesting to create a three-dimensional knitted shape of the lamp shades, to leave the monotone and smooth standard form of lamp shades. Knitting proved to be a good technique by which you can create three-dimensional forms. Shades were constructed using purl checked patterns, eyelet and pleat patterns. Yarns used in knitting were the cotton and viscose yarns, white and smooth touch, like paper models. In Limiting Oxygen Index Chamber knitted fabrics made of cotton and viscose yarn were examined. Since cellulose and viscose yarns burn quickly, it is of high importance to make appropriate treatment against the fire, in order to live without worry and enjoy the light that knitted lamp produces.
