Sažetak
The species Sphoeroides cutaneus was recorded from three localities in the eastern middle Adriatic in 1992. Nine specimens were found in trawl catches, on which four of 101-213 mm total length were analysed. Trawel catches originate from muddy bottoms betveen 120 and 150 m depth. These are the first documented records of this species in the Adriatic. Thus, the Adriatic ichthyofauna has been added not only a new species but also a new genre and a new family.
