Sažetak
In most of the patients with congenital dislocation of hip joint (CDH) or instability of primary arthroplasty one of the main problem is pathologic shape and inadequate roof support for the acetabular part of endoprothesis, what is indication for reconstrutcion of bone with the autologous or homologous bone transplant. At Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, School of Medicine, University of Zagreb 407 uncemented total hip endoprotheses were implanted and analyzed. Acetabuloplasty with autologous or homologous bone transplant was done in 78 (19, 2%) of all patients, 64 (82, 1%) females and only 14 (17, 9%) of males. When the coverage of acetabular part in insufficient, acetabuloplasty with bone graft from the femoral head or bone bank is strongly indicated. Biomechanical considerations about difficulties during fixations of bone transplant during arthroplasty were discussed.
