Sažetak
Cell death can be morphologically described as apoptosis or necrosis. Apoptosis can be induced via activation of intrinsic or extrinsic apoptotic pathway. Necrosis can be regulated via RIP1-kinase signaling and then it is called necroptosis. Adaptor protein FADD (Fas- associated death domain) in lymphocytes acts as a positive regulator of apoptosis and negative regulator of necroptosis in signal transduction from cell death receptors to caspase 8 or RIP1 kinase. There were differences reported regarding the role of FADD in the regulation of necroptosis which were dependent of cell type and cell death inducer. As a cell death inducer we used UVB irradiation, a potential carcinogen.
