Sažetak
The thesis presents how creativity, cultural/creative industries, creative cities and economic growth are connected. In the first chapter it explains creativity as a basic concept as well as how it is connected with creative industries, what the role of creativity in economy is and how creativity is interconnected with culture and innovations. It further explains what social capital is and how it is connected with creativity as well as creative capital, what the role of social networks in general is and how they are connected with creativity and social innovation. Last part describes the concept of creative cities starting from historical development of the concept. Further in the chapter the meaning of the creative class is explained. Last part of this chapter presents how culture can contribute to city revitalization.
