Sažetak
Fears from possible risk for human health because use and/or misuse of antibiotics growth promotors in food for animals for consumption, led to a ban of their use in the EU (Regulation EC No. 1831/2003 ). The consequences of avoiding antibiotic growth promotors are reflected in poorer feed efficiency and reduced production characteristics, as well as in increased morbidity and mortality of animals. Therefore it is necessary to find alternative sustainable methods to controll stress factors and the health of animals. Previous research results within VIP project (Immune modulation of health as an alternative to antibiotics in raising animals for consumption, 17/11/2012, with support of Podravka d.d.) evaluate a scientifically based recommendations for safe and effective economically justified alternative feeding methodes for animals for consumption with the purpose of nutritional immunomodulation. The final research analysis find the greatest economic benefits of food without antibiotic growth promotors with the addition of supplement of Agaricus bisporus. Using of Agaricus bisporus obtained and environmentally friendly product, and the price of organic agricultural and food products is appropriate to the stringent requirements of EU countries, whose consumers those products with more added value can afford and for which there is a demand.
