Sažetak
This paper utilizes official data available from Croatian national tourism statistics, as well as results obtained through primary research conducted in GCC countries, in order to determine underlying reasons for low number of visitors from GCC countries to Croatia. Analysis of official statistics showed that number of visitors from GCC countries to Croatia, although still very modest, has been increasing in the past few years. Data collected through primary research showed that underlying reasons for this could be due to the fact that Croatian tourism offer has not yet been tailored to suit the needs and preferences of the visitors from GCC countries. Another reason for low number of visitors from GCC countries to Croatia is the lack of appropriate promotional activities and branding activities of Croatian tourism on the GCC tourism market.
